本講習は、アスベスト除去工事の設計を担当するプロジェクトデザイナー（Project Designer）を対象としたものです。調査結果に基づき、適切な除去方法、封じ込め方式、隔離設計、工程計画、廃棄物管理方法を計画・設計するための専門知識の習得を目的としています。
This course is designed for Project Designers responsible for planning and designing asbestos abatement projects. It aims to provide the specialized knowledge required to develop appropriate removal methods, containment systems, isolation designs, work sequencing, and waste management procedures based on building inspection results.

本講習では、EPA規則およびUFGS等の仕様に基づく設計要件を学び、日本の設計実務とは異なる米国の設計基準とリスク管理の考え方を理解します。通常、UFGSに基づいてアスベスト除去作業計画書(Abatement work Plan)を作成する除去業者の設計者、米軍基地に勤務し、業者から提出されたアスベスト除去作業計画書(Abatement work Plan)をレビューする方々、ならびにPQPとして第三者機関の立場から作業環境を管理する方々がこの講習を受講しています。
Participants will study design requirements in accordance with the regulations of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and specifications such as the Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS), and will gain an understanding of U.S. design standards and risk management approaches, which differ from Japanese design practices. This course is typically attended by designers at abatement contractors who prepare asbestos abatement work plans based on UFGS, individuals working on U.S. military bases who review abatement work plans submitted by contractors, and third-party professionals managing the work environment as Project Qualified Persons (PQPs).
