本講習は、アスベスト管理計画策定者（Management Planner）を対象としたものです。建築物調査結果に基づき、アスベスト含有建材に関するリスク評価を実施し、適切な管理方法（除去、封じ込め、維持管理等）を選定・計画するための知識と判断力の習得を目的としています。
This course is designed for Management Planner. It provides the knowledge and professional judgment required to conduct risk assessments of asbestos-containing materials based on building inspection results and to select and develop appropriate management methods, such as removal, encapsulation, or operations and maintenance programs.

本講習では、米国環境保護庁（EPA）の規則に基づくリスク評価手法、管理計画書の作成要件、長期的な管理戦略の策定方法について学び、日本の制度とは異なる米国の管理計画制度の考え方を理解します。JEGS(日本環境管理基準)では、米軍基地のAPM(Asbestos Program Manager)は、アスベストに関する管理計画プログラムを作成及び管理を実施することになっているため、通常、そのポジションにつく担当者がこの資格を必要としています。
Participants will study risk assessment methodologies, management plan development requirements, and long-term management strategies in accordance with the regulations of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and will gain an understanding of the U.S. management planning framework, which differs from Japanese systems. Under JEGS (Japanese Environmental Governing Standard), Asbestos Program Managers (APMs) on U.S. military bases are responsible for creating and managing asbestos management programs; therefore, individuals in these positions typically require this qualification.
