The course provides the professional knowledge and practical skills necessary to properly identify asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) in buildings, conduct visual inspections, collect bulk samples, and assess material conditions. Participants will gain an understanding of inspection procedures, sampling methodologies, an overview of analytical requirements, and reporting standards in accordance with the regulations of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Personnel working on U.S. military bases who are responsible for reviewing sampling plans and inspection reports typically obtain this certificate as well.
